Established in 1930 by local businessman Percy Brown, Browns of Burwell has been supplying home heating oil, commercial fuels, and lubricants to homes, farms, and businesses across Cambridgeshire for over 90 years. With strong local ties and quality service, we are known county-wide for our reliability, efficiency, and professionalism.
Starting the company from just one truck tanker on local haulage, the company quickly grew and diversified to include coal, oil, transport, and a garage business, including a MAN franchise, which we held for 15 years. This was all down to the growing demand for the first-class service we offered from day one.
Since moving to a purpose-built depot in 2003, the company has gone from strength to strength, all while maintaining its high standards for local customer service and delivery – this is reflected in several awards for regional depot excellence from OFTEC as well as two national titles in 2005 and 2008.
Many things have changed over the years, but our commitment to our customers has stayed the same. With our strong local reputation throughout Cambridgeshire for delivering great service to local people, Browns of Burwell joined NWF Fuels in 2005, and now we are one of twenty-five regional depots delivering great customer service to local communities across England and Wales.
